Survive against the zombie hordes, build your fort
Looking to get your zombie fix early? We visited Kerberos Productions recently to go behind the scenes with Fort Zombie, a lite action-RPG that requires you to survive against zombies by base-building, more or less.
Fort Zombie came out today, so you can pick it up from any major digital distributor for $9.99 USD or €9.99, if you're in Europe. Instead of exploring cities and getting from point A to B, players must select a building in town and begin gathering supplies and building defenses.
The dev team is, of course, excited with launch and have released an amusing little statement and trailer. Check out the game!
“Every time we blew the arm off a zombie bowler or whacked an undead business man with a shovel, we regretted that we could only talk about it with the zombie fans and gamers on our messageboards. After months of holding back these ghouls by ourselves, we’re thrilled that gamers finally get to aim-for-the-head themselves and we look forward to welcoming more zombie survivors to our boards over the coming weeks!”
Aw, that's not very nice. The developers were lovely people.
They can be lovely people and make a bad game. Just look at it. It's obvious it has problems. The character models are atrocious for an 0'9 PC game, the movement is weird, and lots of other stuff. L4D2 will satisfy the zombie fever this year.
Depends on how you assess your judgment on a game. If you mainly judge based on the look of the game, you're obviously going to assume this game sucks.
But all I see is the cheap price of 10 USD, and the high probability that my shitty computer will play it.
Yeah, the graphics are pretty bad and even the devs admit that in our chat with them.
As stated by Martin Cirulis, one of the lead developers:
"Fort Zombie is an experiment with form vs. perfection - letting you do lots of creative movement and interaction without looking graphically fabulous. Most games don't push that, limiting your mobility to the actions that look best. Assassin's Creed is one that pushes it, and looks great, but has a team of 300 and costs more than $10."
Well, I find that Mount & Blade is one of the most fun games I've ever played, but it has shitty graphics. Some games can be completely redeemed by fun gameplay.
Of course, I'm not saying that this game will be fun. I need to try it first.
Just played it, the controls were designed by I retard the game controls are so frustrating I deleted off my computer after a hour and wrote that 10$ as a loss
