So most of you probably already saw this one coming.  Seems StarCraft II won't be making its 2009 appearance, and the beta has been delayed until some time next year.

In a Q&A session, lead producer Chris Sigaty confirmed at the IgroMir in Russia that the beta won't pop up until 2010.  The game should still make its Q2 2010 launch deadline though, so StarCraft fans (and Koreans) don't need to fret much.

No doubt many productive members of society will come down with some sort of illness when Wings of Liberty is released.  Better watch your bandwidth.

Not truly surprising but I'm rather disappointed nonetheless.

Good things come to those who wait patiently!!!!!

So postponement of StarCraft II seems like a good idea for the time being....

They should toss StarCraft II and WoW out the window and focus all of their energies on Diablo III. That would be the responsible thing to do

.... What did you just say?

Starcraft 2 will actually have a finite playtime.

Diablo 3 will claim lives. I've still not finished playing with my Necromancer and Assassin on Diablo 2. The responsible thing to do would be to let people play on Nightmare mode at the start of the game and skip the other difficulties.

If responsible = less money, then that idea would get tons of less money, probably like a shit ton less seeing as they make 1bil+ a year from the monthly fee alone from WoW($15 x 10 mil x 12)
