Journey to the future of the world of Norrath in the sequel to the original MMORPG
Sony Online Entertainment has today officially announced the sequel to their well known massively multiplayer online role-playing (MMORPG) game series,
Everquest. Currently titled "Everquest II", the upcoming sequel will feature a new 3D engine, and allow players to own their own real estate, ride horses, command ships, use new spells, and participate in new quests and events. Character customization will also be improved, and a new branching class structure (as well as a new class, the tradesman) aims to give greater flexibility in character development.
EverQuest II is currently slated to ship this Winter 2003.
