Doom developer John Romero has reason to believe so
Russian games site Compulenta learns from Monkeystone Games CEO and former "Doom" developer John Romero himself that Nokia is indeed planning some sort of follow-up to their N-Gage handheld game console:
"At the Moscow Game Developers Conference that took place on February, 21, John revealed a few details concerning the next version of Nokia NGage.Romero admitted that the present version of mobile console has no future. He said that the next version is deprived of the drawbacks of the NGage we all know.

According to the article, the next N-Gage is set to be smaller and thinner than the current model, and will reportedly be more convenient to use as an actual mobile phone. Battery replacement is also said to be much easier this time around.

The n-gage 2 will have a built in camera according to nokia
