Another DRM infestation bites the dust
2K Games have relented, and after about a zillion frustrated users have complained, they have reportedly killed the DRM on Bioshock.

The DRM used to limit users to three installs, and caused a great deal of frustration when users tried to uninstall and move the game between PC's - apparently generating so many support calls and hassles maintaining the DRM activation server that 2K Games threw in the towel, and probably figures that its potential losses to copying are lower than the support costs for phone calls and the DRM server.
DUH.
Let's not forget, true pirates have already patched Bioshock to bypass the DRM nastyness, and only legit users were really inconvenienced.
Kudos to 2K for removing the DRM though.
