DLC ready to go for PC edition
Xbox 360/Mass Effect owners got the pack of downloadable content (DLC) entitled "Bring Down the Sky" back in February, and now PC owners with the game are getting the same treatment. Hurrah!
Entirely free, the pack is the first in a planned series of DLC that will 'further expand the Mass Effect story and universe.' Whatchu get? A new uncharted world which introduces the deadly Batarian alien race, about 90 minutes of new gameplay, and an original soundtrack.
The storyline for the new content is such that the Batarian extremists have hijacked a mobile asteroid station in the Asgard system and set it for a collision course with the nearby colony world of Terra Nova. Commander Shepard is the only one who can save the millions of innocents in time.
The pack is available in English, Spanish, Italian and German, with more languages coming soon.
Gamers can install the pack by simply downloading it and launching their registered copy of the game and following the instructions they see at the launch screen. Further assistance can be found here.
Originally released for the Xbox 360™ videogame and entertainment system, “Bring Down the Sky” has received critical acclaim as one of the “must have” downloadable expansion packs. Mass Effect has also received critical acclaim throughout the world with more than 80 awards including Console Game of the Year and Role-Playing Game of the Year, with the PC version achieving several perfect 10/10 scores and an overall review average of over 90%.
