InnoVision announces the Tornado GeForce2 MX400 & MX200
Peter Judson - Wednesday, March 7th, 2001 | 1:40PM (PT)

InnoVision Multimedia is please to announce the Availability of Inno3D Tornado GeForce2 MX400 & MX200 Adapters.

In addition to the long list of features and benefits of the Tornado GeForce2MX such as DVC, TwinView and Second Generation T&L, the Tornado GeForce2 MX400/64MB version pumps up the power and performance of the MX even further, with core frequency at 200 MHz and memory frequency at 183 MHz helps to eliminate memory bottlenecks even when handling large textures at high resolutions.

At resolution 1600x1200, 32 bit color depth, the Inno3D Tornado GeForce2 MX400/64MB gains 25% in FPS over the 32MB version for some of the most popular games. 3D Winbench2000 also results with 20% increase over the 32MB version at the same resolution. These significant performance increases could become very important in the future as they could mean the difference between decreasing color depth or having to switch resolutions without the extra 32MB on card.

The Tornado GeForce2 MX400 also comes with a 32MB version at 128 bit memory bus interface.

The Inno3d TORNADO GeForce2 MX200/32MB is a cost effective product that offers Digital Vibrance Control, TwinView display (TV OUT only) options, and a unified driver making it a competitive graphics solution for the system integrator market. With core frequency at 175 MHz and memory frequency at 166 MHz, the main difference between the 200 and 400 version is its memory bus is reduced to 64 bit wide and interface with the most cost conscious available 64MB DRAM (4M x 16) to sharpen its cost competitiveness. Performance is about 60% of the 400 version with the same memory on card in some of the popular resolution setting.
