SD continues recruitment, brings Fable II dev in

It's been known since Spring Bethesda Softworks and Splash Damage (a UK-based studio which focuses on shooters) were parterning together, and now a few more pieces have been added to the puzzle.

It seems Fable II lead designer Richard Ham has been brought into the fold at Splash Damage (SD) for the still unnamed title being co-developed with Bethesda. Ham has been working in the video game industry for 15 years, working with Lionhead on Fable: The Lost Chapters and The Movies, previously putting his efforts in at Nintendo of America, Sony Computer Entertainment America (as creative lead for Syphon Filter) and Edge of Reality.

Studio director Paul Wedgwood said in a statement, "We have spent months searching for the right person to lead Splash Damage's new title creatively, and Richard is an exact fit. His stunning track record makes him ideal to drive our vision for such a truly ambitious new multiplatform project."

Ham will take on the role of creative director at SD, effectively adding to the list of "AAA" designers to the project's team -- it was reported earlier Dean Calver (Heavenly Sword, Silent Hill 2) joined the studio as lead programmer; Fabio Bonvicini (Black, Harry Potter) as animation technical director; Mattias Engström (World in Conflict) as senior technical director; Oliver Jauncey (Mass Effect, Timesplitters 2) as senior programmer; and Mark Lack (Heavenly Sword) as senior environment artist. Who wouldn't love to get in that studio and watch the magic happen?

Hmmm developers of the two best known RPG's colliding with a company known for shooters?

Hell if Fallout and Elder Scrolls hadn't got me worked up, this unknown title certainly has. Who knows what they are up to but either way you know it's going to be good
