Criterion shows off box art and additional content
In late 2008, we heard Criterion mention something about Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box, which would contain loads of new content for the PS3 and Xbox 360 and mark the game's debut on PC. With its February release date approaching, Criterion is revealing more details about this bundle and unveils the box art for all three platforms.
Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box will contain the original Burnout Paradise game, content already released for the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions, as well as an offline multiplayer mode introduced in the "Burnout Party Pack," which can also be acquired separately via PSN or XBL.
Criterion lists several selling points for The Ultimate Box:
• An enhanced and improved version of Burnout Paradise.
• New vehicles including motorbikes.
• New game modes and challenges
• All new offline party mode for 2-8 players
• Day to night cycle and weather effects
General features aside, each version also has a few platform-specific perks.
| PlayStation 3 • Playstation Trophies • Custom Soundtracks • Headset Support • Playstation Eye • Dual shock pads | |
| Xbox 360 • Xbox Live Vision • Headset Support • Steering Wheel Support • Leaderboards • Xbox Live Party | |
| PC • Ultra high resolution graphics • Motion Blur effects • Multiple monitor displays • Soft shadow effects • Head set, USB camera, gamepad and steering wheel support • Full screen Anti-Aliasing | |
Note: I didn't buy Burnout: Paradise becasue of bad reviews from different sources about its gameplay.
I'm surprised the minimum requirements for this game are so low. I mean, did they have to do huge optomizations? Since this was originally designed to run on next-gen consoles. Or was this an efficiently running game to begin with?
