Become dictator over your own Caribbean island later this month

Gone Gold was updated yesterday with news that Tropico has gone gold following speculation last week. Tropico is an island development game of sorts where you're the dictator out to balance an island resort's economy, develop the island countryside with 85+ units capable of maintaining a populous, and build that all-important public opinion and relations with both the island natives and other countries (like the U.S. and Russia). Whether you become a benevolent leader or a not-so-nice guy depends on how you want to play the game. Check out all the initial buzz we've collected for Pop Top's strategy-simulation. The PC version is set to ship April 24th while the Mac version will ship later, in May.
