Super Robot Taisen OG Saga: Endless Frontier still boasts over-the-top animated battle sequences
Amazon is joining the ranks of the ESRB ratings pages as a new bookmark for the Atlus Faithful to peruse when attempting to sniff out future North American releases from the fan-favorite publisher. Not too long ago the online retailer posted listings for a gaggle of new Atlus titles, many which appeared to be localizations of titles yet to be released outside of Japan. One example was a new Super Robot Taisen game for the DS, and yesterday evening Atlus confirmed that "Super Robot Taisen OG Saga: Endless Frontier" is indeed on schedule for North American release this April 28th. That ought to melt the hearts of you Super Robot Taisen fans out there who have been hoping for a new title in English since Atlus localized the last two Super Robot Taisen: Original Generation games for the GBA.
OG Saga appears is an action RPG compared to previous games in the series, which were turn-based strategy games. See for yourself with Banpresto's trailer for the original Japanese release of OG Saga. And hey, we can look forward to very special guest characters:
Atlus' ever witty North American marketing department seems to have caught on to certain selling points of the game, based on certain stylish in-battle animated cutscenes:
We like keeping you abreast of new developments in the world of Atlus, Faithful. That's why we're practically bursting at the seams to reveal Super Robot Taisen OG Saga: Endless Frontier for Nintendo DS. As a continuation of the Atlus Spoils fan appreciation program, each and every launch copy of Super Robot Taisen OG Saga: Endless Frontier will be a premium boxed release, with a bonus soundtrack CD featuring music from the game included in the final retail package. My friends, this is one stacked action RPG.
That Amazon's listing proved to be correct will be exciting news for loyal Atlus customers, as other pre-order entries included titles like Devil Survivor for the DS. Could this be the next title we'll get an official confirmation from?
