One download per Gold account
For those who are curious about Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X., Ubisoft currently has a limited time offer for Xbox 360 owners.
A free download of the demo is now available via Xbox LIVE Marketplace, and 360 owners with Gold accounts can add the demo to their download queue from the Marketplace website. There's a limit of one download per account (or e-mail), and the file is 724 MB.
In addition to the special offer, there's a modest collection of screenshots on the H.A.W.X.'s Marketplace page, along with a brief description of the upcoming strategy and simulation tile:
Tom Clancy’s HAWX lets you become a pilot of the future; it is an awe-inspiring game primed to revolutionize the way you think about combat in the sky. Cutting-edge technology, devastating firepower, and intense dogfights bestow this new title a deserving place in the prestigious Tom Clancy franchise. Soon, flying at Mach 3 becomes a right, not a privilege.
I saw it on LIVE as being Gold exclusive, but I didn't know it was both limited time, and one time per gold account DL.
So I guess silver accounts won't get the demo. At least not soon, perhaps after the game comes out eh?
Now I understand MS has to give their gold membership some incentive......but a frcikin' exclusive demo....that you can download once.....seriously?!!! You Xbox users don't get unlimited downloads on demos???? Is that really some sort of perk for you guys? I know nothing about Xbox, so those are legitimate questions LMAO
If you delete something like a game from your HDD, a message will pop up telling you you can access the game on Marketplace any time to reDL.
PS3 has this thing called "Qore" which is some sort of video magazine thingamajig and if you're a yearly subscriber they offer exclusive demos sometimes......but they're generally free in a week or two anyway, so never understood what the big fuss was about.
Edit: I just looked up the difference between gold and silver members.....never realized the silver members don't get to play multiplayer!!! Damn, that sucks. If I ever get an Xbox it would only be for offline games I guess.
