In Brazil's Federal District, a man was recently looking to collect on his $111 USD debt owed by a 60 year-old woman, and so held her hostage for ten hours with two kitchen knives and a Sega Light Phaser, used with the old Master System.

We weren't even aware the gun existed, but apparently Sega has a history of strong popularity in the country, which one would suppose has something to do with it.

Fortunately, the man eventually released the hostage unharmed after negotiating with police (we assume he realized the Light Phaser just wouldn't cut it against those assault rifles).
