Early reviews of the final retail build highlight a remarkably different experience FF fans can expect, right down to the all-new battle system.
So far, from the reactions I've seen from the forum goers, a lot are happy with the system. While the FFVII-addicts still consider all FF games lower, many admit that it is one of the better ones that they've played. The combat system, liscence system and gambits all seem to be doing fine and have been accepted to be part of the game, but I think it's too early still to comment on what people think when the novelty of the newer systems wear off, if they do.
