Leave it to Nintendo to introduce new peripherals for its consoles, and after yesterday's announcement of the Wii MotionPlus Wiimote attachment is the upcoming WiiSpeak "community microphone", naturally for the Wii.  Based on early images, WiiSpeak attaches to the Wii's motion sensor bar itself, allowing multiple players in a given area to communicate with it at once.  I guess WiiSpeak supporting games are all about the accompanying ambience.

The first Wii title to incorporate WiiSpeak into gameplay is Animal Crossing: City Folk.  WiiSpeak goes on sale in North America this Holiday season alongside Animal Crossing for $29.99 USD.

Yay! I hated how you'd play a Wii multiplayer game online with your friends, and you couldn't even talk with them >.<

This is cool, except I never play online. If I did, I would not use $30...
