Yuna Falling

Description:

This is the familiar picture of Yuna after she took a tumble at her wedding with Seymore. I fell in love with the screenshot the first time I saw it, years and years ago. What made me want to draw it now, I have no idea, but I'm glad I did. I'm please with it, overall; though my scanner seems to like to exaggerate the paper's texture... I'm planning on coloring this one in, I hope!! *keeps fingers crossed*

  I don't know about best so far.. there's a lot that I could have improved upon. Like the shoulders for instance (notice how I cropped them out of my avatar >.>). I never have been one for working all the way to the edge of the paper >_-.

Lovely work, the tonal values and contrast are really well done, and the propotioning and perspective of the face look great. The different textures (such as the hair and it's reflectiveness) are nice, too.

If thats how you draw yuna, I'd hate to see how you would draw rikku. Just turn the picture upside down and it looks more like rikku than yuna.

This is a great drawing, and.. it would be perfect if she was just standing straight up but.. she's falling. I'm no artist but.. if she was falling wouldn't her hair be doing the same? I mean, unless she is in a zero gravity chamber or something, my mistake. How about you take another stab at it and try to make it seem like she's actually falling instead of just posting an upside down portrait. I'm not trying to put down your skills your a great artist obviously! Which is why drawin another version probably wouldn't take much effort on your part.

  lol you're right, she does look like an upside down portrait.. but redoing it isn't going to fix that. This is the picture I used as reference: http://ui11.gamespot.com/1386/wallpaperyuna_2.jpg and no matter how many times I redraw that picture, he hair will not stand on end, granted I should have done more to capture the momentum and movement of this piece
  
  But.. meh.. I was 15/16 when I drew it.. so I'm happy, plus I'm lazy XD and don't like to redraw artwork
