More practice with my tablet and photoshop. I'm actually very pleased with how this came out. The skin didn't give me much grief, and I feel like I've gotten a much better control over it since I first started. Not to say it couldn't have been much better, but it's an improvement for me so I'm happy.
Comments, pointers, and suggestions are always welcomed.
Can this be possible? Isn't this a mirage? Finally we are graced with a good piece of fanart? *faints*
It's very good. So good in fact that it looks like a high polycount model. I just guess the way you painted the mastersword and the hear ring doesn't match the quality of the rest of the picture.
Oh by the way, what was the brush you used to paint the face?
Thank you very much. On the face (and the whole picture, in fact) I used a regular, solid brush (the type that looks like a filled in o) and set it, at first, to a 20-ish% opacity. I lathered on a bunch of different colors and shades then I increased the opacity and lathered some more. Next, I took the smudge tool and set it to a splattered brush (nothing fancy, just a default one) and did a bunch of back and forth motions to smooth and blend the colors.
It's a drawing I did of a screen shot from soul calibur II It's 100% my own work, but bears resemblance to a frequently used picture. Thanks for asking and not just laying down a bunch of blame ^^

Great job!
This is the kind of stuff you see on FaceBook Graffiti. =O
WOW.
GREAT job.
Either way, it looks awesome.
lol j/k but yes, I did use Soul Calibur Link as a reference. The detailed graphics in that game just worked better than the blocky OOT graphics.
Of course, that poses the very debatable question of this picture's proper location.. dun dun dun!
no offence!
